This past week I attended the opening of the new Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau. Located at the corner of S. Santa Monica Blvd. and N. Canon Drive, this modern three-story facility boasts chic offices, conference rooms, and a refreshing rooftop patio. The building functions not only as a visitors center, but also has offices for lease on the third floor and houses the Chamber of Commerce on the second. I had the good fortune of meeting architect David G. Echt of Mackler Echt + Associates, Inc. David designed the interior spaces for the second floor chamber offices. Even amongst the crowd, it was easy to see there is good space planning at work.
The ground level is the visitors bureau and the mecca of all things fun in Beverly Hills. Communications Manager, Karissa Fowler, kindly gave me a brief tour of the main floor. With information on walking tours, history, theater, shops, and restaurants, the bureau will help you customize your Beverly Hills experience. Whether you are a local or a traveler, this beautiful town is at your fingertips. There is a wide range of options when searching for that next adventure. You can grab a quick hand map, check out the iPad stations, play with the large interactive wall map, or speak with concierge for a more personalized approach. Don’t forget to pick up or download the coupons for various deals offered by the local businesses. You might find your new favorite restaurant close by after cashing in on a free appetizer. You can also explore getting a new spa treatment at one of the glamorous hotels for a reduced price. It’s all available to you.
So the next time you plan to be in Beverly Hills, check out this great facility. It’s right in the middle of the famous zipcode and entertainment is literally around each corner. Or if you are a planner like me, go to www.lovebeverlyhills.com and start designing you’re a glamorous day. Besides, we can’t leave all the fun to the celebrities. Go ahead – mix and mingle with the best of them!
